We are excited to announce that we have joined the Open Data Institute (ODI) as an official member, helping the organisation on its mission to build a strong, fair and sustainable open data economy in collaboration with over 2,000 other businesses, start-ups, data experts and government leaders.
Launched in 2012 by Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt and Professor Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the ODI is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan organisation which aims to get data to the people who need it, by encouraging individuals, businesses and governments across the world to come together to discover and share innovative solutions using data.
Since its launch, the ODI has reached a global audience of millions, trained thousands in new data skills, supported hundreds of startups and unlocked over £66 million in value. We understand that there can be a lack of education and appreciation of the complexity of data, so we’re excited to join the ODI in a mission to bridge this gap and ensure no one gets left behind.
As an official member, we look forward to sharing our insights and experience with the network and collaborating with fellow members to do what we do best; solve problems to unlock the value of data. As a data consultancy we have a responsibility to ensure that we are advising our clients in the best possible way, so we’re keen to learn from others in the industry to make sure that data is a positive force for good in business and wider society.
Keep an eye on our channels for more information on how we’re getting involved!
